James Norwood

James Norwood is a lecturer on the MMD (Multimedia Design), BA E-Concepts and Pba. i Innovation og entrepreneurship educations at EAL (Erhvervs Akademiet Lillebælt) Odense, Denmark. Subjects covered include business, design and interaction.

He has recently become focused on more welfare tech projects, joining the Healthgames and Appliedhealth initiatives (EU funded joint projects between OUH Odense University hospital, EAL Academy of Lilleælt, UKSH Universitätsklinikum Schleswig-Holstein and Fachhochschule Kiel). In addition to this he is currently involved with the development of the InnoEvent festival format, helping students to innovate, collaborate and develop business opportunities in welfare tech.

James was a former founder and director of London based specialmoves, an award winning interactive digital production company. With over 16 years in digital media he has had the opportunity to be involved in some ground-breaking work over a multitude of digital disciplines. Working on a myriad of brands and projects ranging from unique interactive digital content, online advertising, edutainment titles to developing online games.

Previous to this he has lectured at the University of Plymouth as well as pursuing research in the field of Telematics Theatre as part of his own PhD research with CAiiA-STAR.
